     "Life comes to full circle" it is said. With evolution, the need of humans kept growing and became seamless and no time. To these constant dynamic change, we owe our lifestyle changes. We surely did step up each tier of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs ; right from hunting for food and safety to now expanding human habitat across the universe.

In all this progress, humans have taken pride in the currently popular hustle culture with health taking a backseat. Chronic diseases have gained life attributing majorly to lifestyle changes. Two most important lifestyle related conditions include Cardiovascular diseases and Diabetes Mellitus. Let us divide Lifestyle into these components : Diet ,Sleep, Exercise, Habits, Stress.

Diet rich in saturated fatty acids , is a major risk factor for Coronory Heart Diseases(CHD). A fibre rich diet is beneficial for both diabetic and heart conditions. Fast , refined and processed food have been chosen for convenience and taste , thus inviting obesity.

Sleep: Sleep cycle drives the cortisol levels in our body. Disrupted sleep cycle have affected the millennial generation to the extent that mental health problems are more prevalent visible in the pandemic. Sleep timings and durations of sleep  both are important. Discipline in sleep is utmost importance for a healthy lifestyle.

Exercise: Cardiovascular health is best ensured by regularly exercising such as brisk walking and running. Exercising benefits by burning calories, improving metabolism, realising endorphins and builds strength. Its an integral part in maintaining emotional health too.

Habits: Poor habits such as excess alcohol consumption , smoking , excess caffeine consumption  take a toll on mental and physical health. Cancer is a major consequence of alcohol and smoking. Gradual withdrawal of these substances will improve the chances of leading a healthy life.

Stress: Meditation and Yoga have proven benefits in reducing stress, anxiety and depression.

Mental health routine has to be followed with conscious efforts for a better and happy life.
