Defence Minister makes field landing in Rajasthan

Barmer (Rajasthan) [India], Sep nine (ANI): The Indian Air Force’s C-130J Super Hercules transport craft with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria aboard landed at Emergency Field Landing at the National main road in Jalore, Rajasthan on Thursday.
This is the primary time that the National main road are used for airplane landing of craft of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the National Highways Authority of Asian country (NHAI) had developed a 3 kilometers section of the Satta-Gandhav stretch of NH-925A from klick. 41/430 to klick. 44/430 as associate airplane landing Facility (ELF) for the Indian Air Force, that is a component of the fresh developed multilane paved shoulder of Gagariya-Bakhasar and Satta-Gandhav Section having a complete length of 196.97 kilometers and cost accounting of Rs 765.52 crores below Bharatmala Pariyojana.
