NIRF INDIA RANKINGS OUT: SEE WHICH COLLEGE TOPPED

The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has released NIRF India Rankings 2021 at 12 noon on Thursday. The National Institutional Ranking Framework Rankings lists top universities and colleges in India.

The NIRF India Ranking 2021 has been announced for eleven categories which are 

Overall

University 

Management 

College 

Pharmacy 

Medical

Engineering 

Architecture 

ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements)

Law and Research Institutions

The NIRF India Ranking parameters and the weighted averages adopted to derive the rankings differ for all the categories. The broad categories adopted to rank the colleges, universities and institutes include Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception.

With each passing year, the number of institutes participating in NIRF rankings has increased and so have the categories in which institutes are ranked. In 2016, the institutes were ranked in only four categories which has now increased to eleven in the year 2021.

IIT Madras has topped in the category of engineering colleges. IIM Ahmedabad has topped in MBA colleges in the country. IISC Bengaluru regained its 1st spot in universities where JNU remains second. IIT Roorkee emerged as the top institute for architecture. NLSUI Bangalore is the top law college in the country. There were a total of 6000 colleges and institutes who participated in the rankings this year.

AIIMS Delhi remains the best medical college where as Manipal College of Dental Science is the Best Dental College. IIT Madras topped in the overall best college or institute category.
