New Delhi: Where digital devices became more prevalent part of human beings, India certified around 20 million women to be digitally literate, under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan .
Union Minister Smriti Irani said on wednesday that PMGDISHA amis to empower women in rural areas by training them to operate digital divices.
Irani also mentioned that there is much more development being done digitally and in other Indian sector as well in which women empowerment is on the first priority.
She said, "India became the second largest country to export PPE suits during lockdown and 75% contribution in it was by Indian women."
She also added that during covid , "6.6 million women worked as front line warriors in the form of doctors,nurses,ashya workers" which shows the growth and developmemt , prosperity and empowerment of Indian Women.
