Fracking — short for hydraulic fracturing — is a process in which water, sand and chemicals are pumped into the ground at high pressure to break up layers of rock that have trapped oil and natural gas. Over the past 15 years, fracking has become the nation’s dominant method for extracting oil and gas from the earth. The technique has also fueled an American energy boom that has turned the U.S. into the world’s top oil producer.
Across the country, fracking is contaminating drinking water, making nearby families sick with air pollution and turning forest acres into industrial zones. Yet, this is pushing into oil and gas drilling and creating critical drinking water supplies.
If Fracking is banned it can cause millions of job loss, price spikes at gasoline pumps and high cost electricity.
Problems with Fracking:
1. Causing air pollution by releasing NO2, SO2 etc.
2. The impairing landscape of nature.
3. Threats to wildlife.
4. Poison groundwater.
5. Polluting drinking water.
6. Worsen climate disruption.
One of the arguments in favor of fracking is that natural gas can be helpful in the fight against climate change because burning it releases half the carbon dioxide (CO2) than burning oil and coal.
Environmentalists, however, question this idea. They cite evidence of methane leaks at fracking well pads and other natural gas infrastructure that are very harmful to the climate, since methane (CH4) is a potent greenhouse gas.

Conclusion:
We have seen how this fracking is causing severe damage to the environment. We all need to take a stand to preserve the environment. Excessive use of anything can damage that thing very hard, such as pampering. Newton's third law has also stated that each and everything has an equal and opposite reaction.
We should banned it because of above discussed reason or we can minimize the use..
